80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings
Great Wyrley Parish Council would like to invite all residents to the
Lighting of the Beacon
on Millennium Green, Landywood Lane, Great Wyrley,
To commemorate the peace and freedom given to us through the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of so many thousands involved in the D-Day landings, and throughout the whole of WWII
The light from the flames from the lamps and the beacons will represent the ‘light of peace’ that emerged from the darkness of war
Build up to the occasion is expected to commence approximately 7pm with help from
Cheslyn Hay Community Choir and more,
ready for the
Lighting of the Beacon at 9.15pm
Millennium Green, Landywood Lane, Great Wyrley
(adjacent to the Health Centre)
